رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbanā ātinā fī d-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fī l-ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʿadhāba n-nār
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Qur'an 2:201رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا … وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا، أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Rabbanā lā tuʾākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭaʾnā… wa-ʿfu ʿannā wa-ghfir lanā wa-rḥamnā, anta mawlānā fa-nṣurnā ʿalā l-qawmi l-kāfirīn
Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake … Pardon us, forgive us and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
Qur'an 2:286رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ
Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa hab lanā min ladunka raḥmah, innaka anta l-wahhāb
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
Qur'an 3:8رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Rabbanā-ghfir lanā dhunūbanā wa isrāfanā fī amrinā wa thabbit aqdāmanā wa-nṣurnā ʿalā l-qawmi l-kāfirīn
Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make firm our steps, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
Qur'an 3:147رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي، رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ. رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Rabbi-jʿalnī muqīma ṣ-ṣalāti wa min dhurriyyatī, rabbanā wa taqabbal duʿāʾ. Rabbanā-ghfir lī wa li-wālidayya wa li-l-muʾminīna yawma yaqūmu l-ḥisāb
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants too. Our Lord, accept my supplication. Our Lord, forgive me, my parents and the believers on the Day the account is established.
Qur'an 14:40–41رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Rabbanā hab lanā min azwājinā wa dhurriyyātinā qurrata aʿyunin wa-jʿalnā li-l-muttaqīna imāmā
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us a model for the God-fearing.
Qur'an 25:74رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
Rabbi-shraḥ lī ṣadrī wa yassir lī amrī wa-ḥlul ʿuqdatan min lisānī yafqahū qawlī
My Lord, expand my breast for me, make my task easy for me, and untie the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech. (The supplication of Mūsā ﷺ.)
Qur'an 20:25–28رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Rabbi zidnī ʿilmā
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
Qur'an 20:114رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
Rabbanā ātinā min ladunka raḥmatan wa hayyiʾ lanā min amrinā rashadā
Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and prepare for us a right course in our affair. (The supplication of the People of the Cave.)
Qur'an 18:10رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ
Rabbi awziʿnī an ashkura niʿmataka llatī anʿamta ʿalayya wa ʿalā wālidayya wa an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāh
My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteous deeds that please You.
Qur'an 27:19رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا، إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Rabbanā atmim lanā nūranā wa-ghfir lanā, innaka ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr
Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us; indeed, You have power over all things.
Qur'an 66:8رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbi-rḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā
My Lord, have mercy on them both as they raised me when I was small. (A supplication for one's parents.)
